If you plan to remain in Australia for less than 3 months and do not intend to engage in any special significance activity, you are usually not required to undergo any health checks. If you plan to remain in Australia for more than 3 months and have lived in a country with high risk of tuberculosis or stay in such a country for 3 months in the last 5 years, then you may need to undergo a chest x-ray examination and/or medical examination. |

In order for the Australian Government to determine whether you are of good character, you may be asked to provide police certificates for each country you have resided in for 12 months or more over the last 10 years. |
